Chattanooga, TN – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Van on I-24 Eastbound

Chattanooga, TN (February 6, 2025) – A motor vehicle accident on Interstate 24 eastbound resulted in the death of a pedestrian on Wednesday evening, February 5.

The collision occurred at approximately 6:43 p.m. near exit 180B, just before Rossville Boulevard. According to reports, a person was attempting to cross the highway when they were struck by a black van. The impact left the pedestrian with fatal injuries.

Emergency personnel arrived quickly and shut down multiple lanes of traffic while investigating the scene. The van driver remained at the location and cooperated with authorities. No further details about the victim or the circumstances leading up to the crash have been released.
